3.36.10 Exercise Of Authority

The provisions of Section 1203.1 (b) of the California Penal Code authorizing a court to require a convicted defendant to pay for the reasonable costs of probation, including the reasonable cost of pre-sentence investigations and pre-sentence reports, is made applicable in the county.

3.36.20 Determination Of Reasonable Cost

The reasonable costs of probation, including the reasonable costs of pre-sentence investigations and presentence reports, shall not exceed the actual average costs of such services and shall be adopted by resolution of the board of supervisors and may be modified from time to time to reflect changes in such actual average costs.

3.36.30 Fee For Collection Installments

In any case in which the court authorizes the defendant to pay the costs described in Section 3.36.10 in installments, the probation shall also collect from the defendant a fee for the processing of such installment payments. This amount of this fee shall represent the administrative and clerical costs of the collection of such installment payments as determined by the board of supervisors, but shall not exceed fifty dollars.
