2.48.10 Membership; Appointment¶
The Board of Supervisors creates a planning commission, to be known and designated as the Del Norte County Planning Commis sion. This commission shall consist of five members. Each member of the Board of Supervisors shall nominate one member of the planning commission, whose appointment must be approved by majority vote of the Board of Supervisors. Each planning commissioner's term shall run concurrently with that of the nominating board member, provided that each commissioner shall serve until his or her successor is appointed. The nominee need not reside in the district of the nominating board supervisor. Any member of the Del Norte County Planning Commission may be removed, with or without cause, by majority vote of the Board of Supervisors.

2.48.20 Compensation¶
Members of the commission shall be compensated at the rate of one hundred dollars for each official meeting of the planning com mission that the member actually attends. Further, members of the commission shall receive reasonable travel expenses, including expenses for travel between the commissioner's residence and the place of the commission meeting, at the rates established in the county travel policy.

2.48.30 Powers And Duties¶
The powers and duties of the planning commission shall be those set forth in Chapter 3, Title 7 of the Government Code of the state of California, as amended since its original adoption and as may be amended in the future.
