2.96.10 Ineligibles Designated; Exceptions

Except as otherwise provided in this section, no person convicted of a felony or a misdemeanor involving moral turpitude shall be eligible for employment in the excepted or competitive service of the county provided, however, that the appointing authority may disre gard such conviction if he finds and determines that mitigating circumstances exist, such as, but not limited to, evidence of rehabili tation, length of time elapsed since such conviction, the age of such person at the time of conviction, or the fact that the classification applied is unrelated to such conviction.

2.96.20 Access To State Summary Criminal History Information

The county administrative officer, and each appointing authority of the county, are authorized to have access to state summary criminal history information in the performance of their employment, licensing, and certification duties, to the extent that such access is permitted by California Penal Code section 11105 et seq.
