2.56.10 Established

There is established in the county of Del Norte a delinquency prevention commission. This commission is established pursuant to the authority and under the terms and conditions of Section 233 of the California Welfare and Institutions Code.

2.56.20 Designated

The juvenile justice commission of the county of Del Norte is designated to serve as the delinquency prevention commission established in Section 2.56.10.

2.56.30 Powers And Duties

The commission established in Section 2.56.10 shall have the powers and duties provided by law, to coordinate on a county-wide basis the work of those governmental and nongovernmental organiza tions engaged in activities designed to prevent juvenile delinquency, with special emphasis on preventive measures and the need for family and community awareness and involvement in these matters.
