2.57.010 Purposes and Authority. The¶
provisions of the Military and Veterans Code of the State of California shall govern the military leave of employees of the County of Tuolumne.
2.57.020 Military Leave and Salary. Any¶
regular (excluding relief) employee working half time or more who has been called to active military duty or volunteers for active military duty during a period of armed conflict shall be allowed time off with no loss in pay after exhausting salary or compensation to which he or she is entitled under the California Military and Veterans Code. Such salary augmentation of up to one hundred percent (100%) of his or her regular County base salary will be in combination with all military pay while engaged in the performance of ordered active military duty. Such employee must provide documentation of his or her military pay to the satisfaction of the Auditor Controller in order to be eligible for this benefit. In the event the employee’s military pay exceeds his or her County pay, no salary continuation will be made.
2.57.030 Military Leave and County¶
Benefits. County employees while engaged in military service as described above shall not be eligible for County benefits if they utilize single coverage. County employees while engaged in military service as described above shall be eligible, as well as their dependents, to continue County health, vision and dental insurance coverage if they utilize family coverage. No life or disability insurance will be continued. Such premiums as are customarily paid by the County for the employee will be continued. Cafeteria “cash out” is not permitted. (Ord. 3077 § 1, 2009)
