10.32.010 Delegation of state powers to county

road commissioner. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 942.6 of the Streets and Highways Code, those powers contained in Section 942.5 of said code are delegated to the county road commissioner. The road commissioner is authorized to restrict the use of, or close to vehicular traffic, any county highway whenever he/she considers such closing or restriction of use necessary;

A. For the protection of the public;

B. For the protection of such county highway from damage during storms;

C. During construction, improvement or maintenance operations thereon. (Ord. 512 § 1, 1968; prior code § 6-1.1).

10.32.020 Interpretation of use of power by

county road commissioner. Nothing contained in Section 10.32.010 shall be construed to empower the road commissioner to restrict the use of, or close to vehicular traffic, any county highway by reason of the existence of any convention, celebration, parade or similar function, both public and private, unless such authority is delegated to the road commissioner pursuant to resolution of the Board of Supervisors. 10.32.030 Use of vehicles on certain roads

prohibited by resolution. The board of supervisors may, by resolution, adopt regulations relating to the prohibiting of motor vehicle traffic on certain roads, pursuant to Section 942.5 of the California Streets and Highways Code. (Ord. 512 § 3, 1968).
