18.20.010 Fueling or defueling with engine

running prohibited. No aircraft shall be fueled or drained of fuel while engines are running. (Ord. 924 ' 2 (part), 1977; prior code 14-5.0).

18.20.020 Smoking prohibited. No smoking

shall be permitted within fifty feet of the aircraft fuel tanks while the aircraft is being fueled or being drained of fuel or within fifty feet of any fuel carrier not in motion or utilized for fueling or draining of fuel from aircraft. (Ord. 924 ' 2 (part), 1977; prior code ' 14-5.1).

18.20.030 Overflow of fuel prevention.

Persons engaged in the fueling and draining of aircraft shall be careful to prevent overflow of fuel. (Ord. 924 ' 2 (part), 1977; prior code 14- 5.2).

18.20.040 Static spark material prohibited. No

person shall use any material likely to cause a static discharge during fueling or draining of fuel from aircraft. (Ord. 924 ' 2 (part), 1977; prior code ' 14-5.3).

18.20.050 Provision for fire extinguishers.

Adequate fire extinguishers shall be within ready reach of persons engaged in fueling and draining operations at all times. Each fire extinguisher shall be serviced annually. (Ord. 2615 ' 10 (part), 2005; Ord. 924 ' 2 (part), 1977; prior code ' 14-5.4).

18.20.060 Starting engine when gasoline under

aircraft prohibited. No person shall start the engine of any aircraft when there is gasoline on the ground under the aircraft. (Ord. 924 ' 2 (part), 1977; prior code ' 14-5.5).

18.20.070 Maintenance of equipment. Fueling

hoses and draining equipment shall be maintained in a safe, sound, and nonleaking condition at all times. (Ord. 924 ' 2 (part), 1977; prior code ' 14-5.6.).

18.20.080 Bonding/Grounding devices. All

hoses, funnels, and appurtenances used in fueling and draining operations shall be equipped with a bonding/grounding devices to prevent ignition of volatile liquids. (Ord. 2615 ' 11 (part), 2005; Ord. 924 ' 2 (part), 1977; prior code ' 14-5.7).

18.20.090 Aircraft fueling vehicles. All aircraft

fueling vehicles shall be inspected and permitted annually by the County Fire Marshal. (Ord. 2615 ' 17, 2005)
