2.08.010 Business hours. All county offices

shall be kept open for the transaction of business continuously from eight a.m. until five p.m. every day except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays; provided, however, that the board of supervisors by resolution may close one or more county offices for specified time periods when it deems it necessary for emergency, financial or operational reasons. 2.08.020 Holidays.

A. The holidays in the county are:

January 1st;

The third Monday in January;

The third Monday in February;

The last Monday in May;

July 4th;

The first Monday in September;

November 11th;

Any November day designated Thanksgiving Day; 9. The day following Thanksgiving Day; 10. The working day immediately preceding December 25th; 11. December 25th; 12. All other holidays as may be proclaimed by the President or Governor.

B. If a holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday is a holiday. If a holiday falls on a Sunday, the succeeding Monday is a holiday. (Ord. 1649 § 1, 1988; Ord. 1509 § 1, 1986; Ord. 1159 § 1, 1981; Ord. 1017 § 1, 1979; prior code § 2-15.1).
