10.36.010 Definitions. "Commercial vehicle," as

used herein, means any vehicle used or maintained for the transportation of persons for hire, compensation, or profit or designed, used, or maintained primarily for the transportation of property. (Ord. 613 § 1, 1970).

10.36.020 Alternate route for commercial

vehicles. The alternate route for commercial vehicles which exceed the gross weight of fourteen thousand pounds shall be Tuolumne- Sonora Road to State Highway 108. (Ord. 613 § 4, 1970).

10.36.030 Weight limit on Hess Avenue. A

weight limit of fourteen thousand pounds is established for commercial vehicles on Hess Avenue (County Road No. 55022), from its intersection with State Highway 108, thence 0.98 mile southeast, through Hess Estates Subdivision, to its intersection with Tuolumne- Sonora Road. (Ord. 613 § 2, 1970).

10.36.040 Weight limit on Old Priest Grade

Road.
A. A weight limit of 7,500 unladen pounds is here by established on Old Priest Grade Road (County Road No. 352701) lying between Moccasin and Priest Station for all vehicles or combination of vehicles. B. Subsection A shall not be applicable with respect to the following: (1) A vehicle or combination of vehicles coming from an unrestricted highway having ingress and egress by direct route to and from the restricted highway when necessary for the purpose of making pickups or deliveries of goods, wares, and merchandise from or to any building or structure located on the restricted highway or for the purpose of delivering materials to be used in the actual and bona fide repair, alteration, remodeling or construction of a building or structure upon the restricted highway for which a building permit has previously been obtained. (2) The operation of ambulances, hearses, or vehicles providing emergency roadside services or roadside assistance.

(3) A vehicle or combination of vehicles owned, operated, controlled, or used by a public utility in connection with the construction, installation, operation, maintenance, or repair of a public utility facility. (Ord. 2537 § 1, 2003; Ord. 1219 § 1, 1982).

10.36.050 Weight limit on North Fork Road. A

weight limit of five tons is established on North Fork Road (County Road No. 672000) from post mile 0.14 southerly to postmile 1.39, a distance of 1.25 miles. (Ord. 1359 § 1, 1984).

10.36.060 Reduction of permissible weight of

vehicles and loads on Red Hills Road. A gross weight limit of fifty thousand pounds is established for any vehicle or combination of vehicles, from its intersection with La Grange Road to its intersection with Sims Road. (Ord. 1949 § 2, 1992).

10.36.070 Reduction of permissible weight of

vehicles and loads on Twist Road. A gross weight limit of fifty thousand pounds is hereby established for any vehicle or combination of vehicles, from its intersection with Jacksonville Road to its intersection with Algerine and Lime Kiln Roads. (Ord. 1949 § 3, 1992).
