18.08.005 Motor Vehicle. AMotor Vehicle@ or

AVehicle@ as referred to in this chapter means any self-propelled land conveyance that does not run on rails and includes bicycles. (Ord. 2615 ' 15, 2005).

18.08.010 Compliance with rules. Every person

who operates any motor vehicle or mobile equipment on the airport shall comply with the rules prescribed for the control of such vehicles except in cases of emergency involving life or property, (Ord. 924 ' 2 (part), 1977; prior code ' 14-2.0).

18.08.020 Parking regulations - Removal of

parked vehicles.
A. The board shall designate by resolution:

  1. Places where vehicles may or may not be parked, in public parking areas;
  2. The period of time for which vehicles may be parked at any place.

B. The airport manager shall make appropriate markings giving notice thereof.

C. The airport manager is authorized to remove any vehicle parked on any roadway, parking area, or other posted property in airport in violation of Chapters 18.04 through 18.20, and to impound the same at owner's expense and without liability to the county for damage which may result from, or in the course of, such moving or impoundment.(Ord. 2615 '5 (part), 2005; Ord. 924 ' 2 (part), 1977; prior code 14- 2.1).

18.08.025 Parking of Airport Fueling Vehicles.

Airport fueling vehicles shall only be parked in designated areas approved by the Airport Manager and County Fire Marshal. (Ord. 2615 ' 15, 2005).

18.08.030 Control and speed. All motor

vehicles and mobile equipment shall be operated Under the safe control of the driver at all times in consideration of existing traffic and road conditions and in no case faster than twenty-five miles per hour. A. No vehicles shall travel faster than fifteen miles per hour on the aircraft parking ramp. B. No vehicles shall travel faster than ten miles per hour when in close proximity to parked aircraft. C. No vehicles towing aircraft or equipment shall travel faster than five miles per hour. (Ord. 2615 '6 (part), 2005; Ord. 924 ' 2 (part), 1977; prior code ' 14-2.2).

18.08.035 Under the Influence. No person shall

operate a vehicle within or on the Airport while under the influence of intoxicating liquor or controlled substances. (Ord. 2615 ' 15, 2005).

18.08.40 Vehicle and Operator License. No

motorized vehicle shall be operated on the airport unless the driver thereof is duly authorized to operate such vehicle within the state. (Ord. 2615 ' 15, 2005).

18.08.050 Vehicles on air operations areas.

A. No vehicle shall be permitted on taxiways, operational areas, ramps, aprons, or tiedown areas, except authorized maintenance or service vehicles, without prior permission of the Airport Manager. B. No person shall operate a vehicle on, to or across a runway, or on non-paved airport areas except when authorized by the Airport Manager or his representative or during emergencies such as fires and accidents. 18.08.060 Accidents.

A. The driver of any vehicle involved in an accident on the airport shall immediately make a complete report in writing to the Airport Manager.
B. Any person who damages any light, fixture, fence, or other Airport facility by means of contact with shall be fully responsible for any costs required to repair or replace the damaged light, fixture, or facility. (Ord. 2615 ' 15, 2005).

18.08.070 Motor Vehicle Service and Repair.

No person shall service, repair, overhaul or perform other maintenance on a motor vehicle or other equipment on the airport except in an area approved by the Airport Manager. (Ord. 2615 ' 15, 2005).

18.08.080 Violations of this chapter. Any

person found in violation of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor. Notwithstanding a criminal conviction for a violation of this chapter, any person found in violation of this chapter may be temporarily or permanently barred from operating a motor vehicle or equipment on the airport or use of the airport as reasonably determined by the Airport Manager. (Ord. 2615 ' 15, 2005).
