10.28.010 Parking during prohibited. The

parking or standing of vehicles on the traveled way of any county road or highway during snow removal operations conducted by or on behalf of the county is prohibited. For the purposes of this section, "traveled way" means the improved portion of the county road or highway right-of- way together with as much of the area contained within the right-of-way as is necessary for normal maintenance, removal and storage of snow, including, but not limited to, the "crowding" of snow necessary to clear the improved portion of the county road or highway. 10.28.020 Removal of parked vehicles. Any

peace officer, as defined in Chapter 4.5 of Title 3 of Part 2 of the Penal Code, or any regularly employed and salaried employee, who is engaged in directing traffic or enforcing parking laws and regulations of the county, may remove or cause the removal of, any vehicle parked or left standing on the traveled way or any road in violation of Section 10.28.010. 10.28.030 Erection of signs. The road

department shall erect and maintain signs giving notice of the provisions of this chapter. (Ord. 815 § 2 (part), 1975; prior code §

10.28.040 Violation of a Civil Penalty. Violation

of this chapter is punishable as a civil penalty in the manner described by section 40200 et seq. of the vehicle code. (Ord. 2601§4, 2004; Ord. 815 §2 (part), 1975; prior code § 6-6.3).
