MH-10-1200 - DISTRICT TRAFFIC ENGINEER—OFFICE ESTABLISHED.

The office of the District Traffic Engineer is established. The General Manager, if licensed to act as District Traffic Engineer, shall serve as District Traffic Engineer or shall appoint the person to so act, who shall exercise the powers and duties with respect to traffic as provided in this title.

MH-10-1201 - DISTRICT TRAFFIC ENGINEER—DUTIES.

It shall be the general duty of the District Traffic Engineer to determine the installation and proper timing and maintenance of traffic-control devices and signals; to conduct engineering analyses of traffic accidents, and to devise remedial measures; to conduct engineering and traffic investigations of traffic conditions; to cooperate with other District officials in the development of ways and means to improve traffic conditions; and, to carry out the additional powers and duties imposed by the ordinances of this District.
