Chapter 7 — DELINEATION OF TRAFFIC LINES ON COUNTY STREETS AND HIGHWAYS

10-2600 - NEWLY DELINEATED TRAFFIC LINES.
In cases where lines of traffic are delineated on pavement by paint, reflective pavement delineators or like or similar devices, or any other device which is applied to or attached to pavement to distinguish said traffic lines, and the application of said device or attachment of said devices is either in progress or has been done so recently that the adhesion of said substance to the pavement is not complete and as a consequence said lines would be impaired or obliterated by contact with moving vehicles, the Traffic Division of the Department of Public Works is hereby authorized to place temporary markers on said traffic lines to warn motorists of the aforesaid situation. These markers shall be of such size and design as to be plainly visible to motorists.

10-2601 - UNLAWFUL TO DISOBEY TEMPORARY MARKERS.
It shall be unlawful for the driver of any vehicle to operate said vehicle over traffic lines on any County street or highway where temporary markers have been placed as authorized by Section 10-2600 of this Code.

10-2602 - VIOLATIONS; FINES.
Any person violating the provisions of this chapter, and of any resolution adopted pursuant thereto, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punishable by a fine of not to exceed $250.00, or by imprisonment in the County Jail not to exceed 90 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.

10-2603 - CITATION FOR VIOLATIONS.
The provisions of Section 1-2002 of this Code, which provide for a citation form of arrest, shall be applicable to arrests for any and all violations of this chapter.
