Chapter 5 — RETAIL SALES OF CONCEALABLE FIREARMS

7-1250 - LICENSE REQUIRED.

Before any person shall engage in the County in the business of retail selling of pistols, revolvers, and other firearms capable of being concealed upon the person, they shall have an approved license issued under the provisions of Chapter 1 of this division and as modified by this chapter.

7-1251 - CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL.

In addition to the requirements in Chapter 1 of this division, any licenses approved under the provisions of this chapter shall be subject to the following conditions:

(a)

The business shall be carried on only in the building designated in the license;

(b)

The license or a copy thereof, certified by the issuing authority, shall be displayed on the premises where it can easily be seen;

(c)

No pistol or revolver shall be delivered:

(1)

Within fifteen (15) days of the application for the purchase, and when delivered shall be unloaded and securely wrapped; nor

(2)

Unless the purchaser either is personally known to the seller or shall present clear evidence of his identity;

(d)

No pistol or revolver, or imitation thereof, or placard advertising the sale or other transfer thereof, shall be readily seen from the outside.

7-1252 - PERIOD OF LICENSE.

Licenses shall remain in effect for a period not to exceed one (1) year from the date of filing the application therefor.
