Chapter 14 — COUNTY TREASURER

2-2951 - INVESTMENT OF COUNTY FUNDS.

The Board of Supervisors delegates to the County Treasurer the authority to invest or reinvest the funds of the County and the funds of other depositors in the County Treasury, pursuant to Chapter 4 (commencing with Section 53600) of Part 1 of Division 2 of Title 5. The County Treasurer shall assume full responsibility for those transactions until the Board of Supervisors, by ordinance, revokes this delegation of authority. Nothing in this section shall limit the County Treasurer's authority pursuant to Section 53635 or 53684.

2-2952 - TREASURER'S QUALIFICATIONS AND CONTINUING EDUCATION.

Under Government Code Section 27000.6, the provisions of Sections 27000.7, 27000.8 and 27000.9 pertaining to the Treasurer's qualifications for office and continuing education are adopted as they presently read or are hereafter amended.

2-2953 - OFFICE OF REVENUE AND RECOVERY.

The Board of Supervisors delegates to the County Treasurer the authority to collect monies owing to the County and to manage the San Joaquin County Office of Revenue and Recovery. The County Treasurer shall assume full responsibility for those transactions until the Board of Supervisors, by ordinance, revokes this delegation of authority.
