Chapter 7 — FIRE HAZARD SEVERITY ZONE MAP ORDINANCE

4-1066 - TITLE.
This chapter shall be known as the "Fire Hazard Severity Zone Map Ordinance."

4-1067 - PURPOSE.
The purpose of this chapter is to designate those areas within the county limits that the Office of the State Fire Marshal has recommended, pursuant to Government Code Section 51178, are Fire Hazard Severity Zones (FHS Zones).

4-1068 - EFFECT.
Basic authorities and responsibilities for designated Fire Hazard Severity Zones (FHS Zones) are set forth in Government Code Section 51175 et seq.

4-1069 - MAP.
The map, prepared by the Fire Resource Assessment Program, California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection labeled "Local Responsibility Area San Joaquin County Unincorporated Area Fire Hazard Severity Zones as Identified by the State Fire Marshal" dated February 24, 2025, and all subsequent amendments and/or revisions thereto (hereinafter collectively "2025 San Joaquin County Fire Hazard Severity Zone Map"), are adopted by reference and declared to be a part of this chapter. The 2025 San Joaquin County Fire Hazard Severity Map is on file at the San Joaquin County Community Development Department, located at 1810 East Hazelton Avenue in Stockton. 4-1070 - DESIGNATION.
The areas recommended as Fire Hazard Severity Zones as set forth in Fire Hazard Severity Zone maps are designated as Fire Hazard Severity Zones.
