6-10000 - APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTORS.
If the Board of Directors of the San Joaquin County Resource Conservation District desires to have the Board of Supervisors make appointment(s) to the District Board of Directors, the Board of the District shall make such request no later than one hundred twenty-five (125) days prior to the date of the next election for Board of Directors. The request shall be submitted by the Board of Directors to the Registrar of Voters at the same time it is submitted to the Board of Supervisors. The Board of Supervisors shall make appointment(s) to the Board of the District from those candidates who have filed applications with the Board of Supervisors as provided in Section 9314 of the Public Resources Code. The Board of Supervisors will endeavor to make appointment(s) from among the qualified applicants who have both demonstrated interest in soil and water conservation and who would also provide a balanced representation on the Board of Directors. The Resource Conservation District shall be responsible for posting all notices of vacancy required by law.
