2.72.010 - Schools at county juvenile facilities.

The county superintendent of schools shall maintain (1) the schools established and maintained in Kern County Juvenile Hall, and (2) in Kern County Juvenile Forestry Camp and Kern Youth Facility, public schools of such grade or grades as may, in the judgment of the county superintendent of schools, be deemed necessary. The Kern Youth Facility may be the school facilities of the Kern County Juvenile Hall, provided that the Kern Youth Facility and the Juvenile Hall shall not use the same school facilities at the same time.

2.72.020 - Juvenile Forestry Camp.

A juvenile forestry camp is established at Kernville, Kern County, California. Said juvenile forestry camp shall be known as the Kern County Juvenile Forestry Camp.

2.72.030 - Kern Youth Facility.

A juvenile home is established in Kern County, California, and shall be known as the Kern Youth Facility. Said Kern Youth Facility shall be located at the Kern County Juvenile Hall, but shall be a separate institution, operated and managed independently of the Juvenile Hall.

2.72.040 - Management.

The Kern County Juvenile Forestry Camp and the Kern Youth Facility shall be under the control and management of the probation officer of the county of Kern, who shall appoint, subject to confirmation by the board of supervisors, a superintendent in charge of the Kern County Juvenile Forestry Camp, and a director in charge of the Kern Youth Facility.
