2.160.010 - County Hospital.¶
Pursuant to state law, the board of supervisors has established and maintains a county hospital named Kern Medical Center.

2.160.020 - Management of Kern Medical Center.¶
Kern Medical Center shall be managed by a chief executive officer, who shall report directly to the board of supervisors, and an executive team, who, with the exception of the chief financial officer, shall report directly to the chief executive officer, as designated in an organizational chart approved by the board of supervisors. The chief executive officer shall be appointed by the board of supervisors and shall serve pursuant to a contract approved by the board of supervisors and the personnel department. The executive team, with the exception of the chief financial officer, shall be appointed by the chief executive officer and shall serve pursuant to a contract approved by the board of supervisors and the personnel department. The chief financial officer shall be appointed by the board of supervisors and shall serve pursuant to a contract approved by the board of supervisors and the personnel department, and shall report directly to the board of supervisors through the county administrative officer.
