Kern County Municipal Code Ch. 2.64 Juries

Grand jurors will be paid mileage by the county at the rate payable to officers and employees of the county, for each mile actually and necessarily traveled in attending meetings of the grand jury which are held within the county. The fees for grand jurors are a maximum of thirty dollars ($30.00) per day payable at the rate of twenty dollars ($20.00) for each first official session and ten dollars ($10.00) for each second official session. To be eligible for a daily jurors' fee, each juror must serve in two (2) official sessions per day for a total of at least five (5) hours or more. The per diem fees established by this section shall be effective on July 1, 2007.
