Editor's note— Ord. No. A-370, § 2, adopted July 27, 2021, amended the title of Ch. 2.05 to read as herein set out. The former Ch. 2.05 title pertained to the county seal.

2.05.010 - Custody and use.

A. There is established a seal of the county of Kern, state of California which shall be called "The Seal of the county of Kern, State of California."

B. The seal of the county of Kern, state of California shall be used by the county's departments as authorized by the board of supervisors.

C. There is established a logo of the county of Kern, state of California which shall be called "The Kern County logo."

D. The logo of the county of Kern, state of California shall be used by the county's departments or approved entities as authorized by the county administrative office.

E. The county administrative office shall have custody and charge of the official seal and logo of the county of Kern, state of California.

2.05.020 - Design.

The design of the seal of the county of Kern, state of California shall correspond substantially with the following representation thereof:

2.05.030 - Use.

It shall be unlawful for any person to use or allow to be used any reproduction or facsimile of the seal or logo of the county of Kern, state of California, except county departments for official business, in any manner whatsoever without the written consent of the chief administrative officer or designee.
