EDWARD BYRNE MEMORIAL JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT TRUST FUND

4.80.3450 Edward Byrne memorial justice

assistance grant trust fund established.

There is hereby established a special fund designated as the "Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Trust Fund." (Ord. 27650.)

4.80.3460 Source of monies.

All of the following monies shall be placed in and credited to the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Trust Fund:

  • A. All monies received by the city from the federal government relating to Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grants.

  • B. All monies which the city council from time to time may transfer to or order to be placed in or credited to the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Trust Fund.

4.80.3470 Interest.

All interest which accrues from monies placed in and credited to the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Trust Fund shall be placed in and credited to this Fund. (Ord. 27650.)

4.80.3480 Expenditures.

Monies in the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Trust Fund, including interest earned, may be expended only for law enforcement purposes in accordance with the guidelines for the federal Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program. (Ord. 27650.)
