Sec. 7-2.01. - Monuments required.

Monuments shall be set as required by the Land Surveyor's Act of the State.

Sec. 7-2.02. - Monument specifications.

(a)

Monuments shall not be less substantial than three-fourths (¾″) inch iron pipe or one-half (½″) inch reinforcing steel, eighteen (18″) inches long, with the land surveyor or registered civil engineer number securely and permanently attached.

(b)

Section corners and quarter corners shall be marked by a monument not less substantial than a two (2″) inch iron pipe, thirty (30″) inches long, permanently stamped with the appropriate corner designation and the land surveyor or registered civil engineer number.

Sec. 7-2.03. - Monument replacement.

When the surveyor replaces an existing monument with a new monument, such fact shall be indicated on the survey map in detail, and a complete description of both monuments shall be shown.
