Article 13 — Rabies Treatment and Eradication Fund

Sec. 5-3.13.01. - Rabies treatment and eradication fund.¶
Pursuant to Section 121635 et seq. of the California Health and Safety Code, there is created the Rabies Treatment and Eradication Fund.

Sec. 5-3.13.02. - Rabies treatment and eradication fund: Administration.¶
The Health Officer or his designee shall administer the Rabies Treatment and Eradication Fund subject to the approval of and through the Board. Fund expenditures shall be based upon the actual expenditures arising from a declaration of a rabies quarantine within the County.

Sec. 5-3.13.03. - Disposition of fines.¶
Pursuant to Section 121660 of the Health and Safety Code of the State, one-half (½) of all fines collected by any court or judge for violation of the provisions of this chapter shall be placed to the credit of the Rabies Treatment and Eradication Fund of the County, except as provided in Section 5-3.6.01.

Sec. 5-3.13.04. - Disposition of dog license revenue.¶
Pursuant to Section 121640 of the Health and Safety Code of the State, all moneys collected for dog licenses shall be deposited to the credit of the Rabies Treatment and Eradication Fund of the County.

Sec. 5-3.13.05. - Disposition of money received from the animal control officer.¶
All money collected from and by the Animal Control Officer shall be deposited to the credit of the Rabies Treatment and Eradication Fund of the County except as provided in Sections 5-3.6.01 and 5-3.9.02.
