Article 4 — Creation of County Assessment Appeals Board

Sec. 2-2.401. - Created.¶
A County Assessment Appeals Board, consisting of three (3) members, is hereby created for the County under and by authority of the provisions of Section 9.5 of Article 13 of the Constitution of the State and under and by the authority of the provisions of Sections 1620 et seq. of the Revenue and Taxation Code of the State.

Sec. 2-2.402. - Members: Appointment.¶
The alternative procedure for the appointment of the members of the County Assessment Appeals Board, as provided for in Section 1622.1 of the Revenue and Taxation Code of the State, is elected. The appointment of the members of the County Assessment Appeals Board shall be directly by the Board of Supervisors. The approval of each member shall be by a majority vote of the Board of Supervisors.
