B6-275. - Authority.¶
The permit officer may suspend or revoke an ambulance service permit or ambulance compliance card for failure to comply with and maintain compliance with, or for violation of, any applicable provisions, standards or requirements of this chapter, or of regulations promulgated hereunder by the permit officer. B6-276. - Notice issuance.¶
Before such suspension or revocation, the permit officer shall give written notice to the holder specifying why such action is being contemplated and giving the holder a reasonable period of time (not over fifteen days) to comply with the provisions of this chapter and of the regulations promulgated hereunder and/or to show cause against suspension or revocation and setting a date for hearing thereon. B6-277. - Hearing.¶
At the hearing the holder may present evidence as to why such action should not be taken and to answer the evidence against him or her. (Ord. 230 § 2 (Exh. A) (part), 1992)
B6-278. - Decision.¶
The permit officer shall issue his or her written decision within thirty days after conclusion of the hearing. (Ord. 230 § 2 (Exh. A) (part), 1992)
B6-279. - Emergency action.¶
The permit officer may immediately suspend or revoke any permit or card when he makes a written finding of fact(s) requiring such action to protect the public health and safety and welfare; but he or she shall immediately so notify the person(s) involved pursuant to Section B6-276 who shall then have a right to hearing pursuant to Section B6-277 on the reinstatement of the permit or card.
