A5-81. - Establishment.¶
There is hereby established a building code board of appeals. The powers and duties of such commission shall be as provided by this code. (Ord. 220 § 2 (part), 1992)
A5-82. - Membership—Number and terms of office.¶
A. The building code board of appeals shall consist of a structural engineer, an architect, a general contractor and a specialty contractor other than one from a trade regulated by the codes and, lastly, a lay member of the public to represent the layman point of view. The building official should be a nonvoting, ex officio member and act as secretary. B. The terms of office of the members shall be four years beginning July 1, 1988 except that upon the original selection of members to serve on the commission two appointed will serve until June 30, 1990 and three members shall serve until June 30, 1992. C. In the event of a vacancy of the commission, the person selected to fill the vacancy shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term. (Ord. 220 § 2 (part), 1992)
A5-83. - Duties.¶
The building code board of appeals shall perform the duties as set forth in Division 1 of TITLE C of this code and such other duties as may be assigned by the city council from time to time. (Ord. 220 § 2 (part), 1992)
