A4-51. - Position created and duties thereof.

The position of director of finance is created and shall perform the following duties and exercise the following powers: A. Financial management services; B. Treasurer; C. Tax collector; D. Purchasing officer; and E. Such other duties and exercise such other powers as may be delegated from time to time by the city manager and/or city council. A4-52. - Transfer of duties from city clerk.

Pursuant to Section 37209 of the Government Code, the duties imposed by Chapter 4, Financial Powers of Part 2, Legislative Body of Division 3, Officers of Title 4, Government of Cities of the Government Code are transferred to the director of finance. (Ord. 357 § 1 (part), 2003: Ord. 257 § 1 (part), 1994)

  • Presentation of budgeted payrolls and demands paid by check to city council for ratification

and approval.

Pursuant to Section 37208(c) of the Government Code, payroll warrants or checks and warrants or checks drawn in payment of demands certified by the director of finance as conforming to a budget approved by ordinance or resolution of the city council shall be presented to the city council for ratification and approval in the form of an audited comprehensive annual financial report. (Ord. 357 § 1 (part), 2003: Ord. 257 § 1 (part), 1994)

A4-54. - Bond.

City of San Ramon, CA | Municipal Code 36

Before entering the duties of director of finance, he or she shall execute a bond to the city. The bond shall conform to the provisions of the Government Code relating to bonds of public officers. The penal sum of the bond shall be in a reasonable amount recommended by the city attorney and fixed by the city council, by resolution and may be changed during the term of his or her office. (Ord. 357 § 1 (part), 2003: Ord. 257 § 1 (part), 1994)
