San Ramon Municipal Code Ch. I Travel by City Personnel

The city manager or his designee shall insure that the city has a written travel policy, which shall be adopted and may be amended or repealed by City Council resolution. (Ord. No. 366, § 2, 11-9-2004; Ord. No. 510, § 1, 11/23/2021)

The travel policy shall provide guidelines for conduct of official city travel, including, but not limited to, the following:

1. Criteria for authorization for travel by the mayor, council members, city manager, and any other persons traveling in the service of the city.
2. Guidelines for planning and executing an official trip.
3. Maximum reimbursements for all categories of travel expenses for persons in the service of the city, including, but not limited to, transportation, lodging, meals, and parking.
4. Authorization for either per diem reimbursement or actual cost for travel expenses as appropriate.
5. Procedures for authorization of travel and travel reimbursement for all persons traveling in the service of the city.
6. Travel Authorization and Expense Report forms, which may be amended by the city manager to remain consistent with current reimbursement limits. (Ord. No. 366, § 2, 11-9-2004; Ord. No. 510, § 1, 11/23/2021)
