2.84.010 - Rates.

Except as otherwise provided by general law, reimbursement to county employees for use of privately owned automobiles on county business shall be made at a mileage rate established by the board of supervisors for each mile actually and necessarily traveled in the performance of their official duties.

2.84.020 - Claim forms.

Claims for mileage shall be made by all officers and employees of the county on mileage forms prescribed by the auditor-controller within limitations of existing law.

2.84.030 - Driver's license and insurance.

Travel on county business by private automobiles shall not be authorized by a department head unless it is established that the driver of the automobile has a valid driver's license and that the automobile used is properly covered by a standard policy of automobile insurance. The minimum limits of the policy shall be twenty-five thousand dollars/fifty thousand dollars for bodily injury liability and five thousand dollars for property damage liability.
