2.19.010 - Office created.¶
There is created in and for the county the office of director of finance, as described in Sections 24000(u), 26980, 26981 and 26982 of the Government Code of the State of California.

2.19.020 - Appointment and removal.¶
The director of finance shall be appointed by the board of supervisors at a salary to be set by the board. The director of finance shall meet the qualifications set forth in section 26945 or Section 27000.7 of the Government Code of the State of California. The director of finance may only be removed from office following a public hearing and a four-fifths vote of the board of supervisors. Upon appointment of the director of finance, the office of director of finance shall be consolidated with the office of auditor controller. The office of director of finance shall be consolidated with the consolidated office of tax collector, treasurer and public administrator upon the expiration of the current term of office of the incumbent treasurer-tax collector-public administrator.

2.19.030 - Annual independent audit.¶
The board of supervisors shall cause an annual, independent audit of the office of the director of finance be conducted, as required by Section 26983 of the Government Code of the State of California.

2.19.040 - Financial audit advisory committee.¶
The board of supervisors shall appoint a financial audit advisory committee comprised of members of the board of supervisors, county staff, county residents and representatives of schools, cities and special districts to review the annual audit. The board of supervisors shall determine the membership of the financial audit advisory committee by resolution specifying the total number of members and representation from each group listed herein.
