2.28.050 - Offices of coroner and sheriff reorganized and consolidated.

Pursuant to Government Code Section 24300(n), the offices of the coroner and sheriff are hereby reorganized and consolidated. The person elected to fill the reorganized and consolidated office shall be known as the sheriff-coroner and shall take the oath and give the bond required for each office, and shall discharge all duties pertaining to each office. Any reference in this Code to sheriff or coroner shall mean sheriff-coroner.

2.28.060 - Disposition of fees.

All fees payable to, and collected by, the sheriff/coroner shall become the property of the county and shall be deposited in the county treasury.
