2.16.010 - Department created.¶
There is established a Department of Public Works for Marin County.

2.16.020 - Director of public works—Duties.¶
The Department of Public Works shall be headed by a Director of Public Works. In addition to the customary duties, the Director of Public Works shall also be responsible for the supervision and administration of the county general services and shall perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Board of Supervisors.

2.16.030 - Surveyor—Duties and qualifications.¶
The surveyor of the county of Marin shall be appointed by the board of supervisors to serve at the will of the board. The surveyor of the county of Marin shall satisfy the qualifications and perform the duties set forth in Title 3, Division 2, Part 3, Chapter 11 of the Government Code of the state of California, except the board waives any requirements of Government Code Section 24001.

2.16.040 - Director and department employees—Salaries.¶
The salaries of the Director and of such employees as may be authorized for discharge of the responsibilities of the Department of Public Works shall be as provided for in the salary ordinance governing compensation of classified employees.
