2.21.010 - Qualification for office.¶
Qualifications for holding the office of treasurer-tax collector, or for election or appointment to such office, shall consist of those provided for in California Government Code Sections 27000.7, 27000.8 and 27000.9, as they exist at the effective date of the ordinance codified in this chapter, or if hereafter amended, and until those sections are repealed. The qualifications prescribe levels of experience, education and continuing education relating to treasury management and public finance.

2.21.020 - Effective date of application of Government Code Section 27007.7.¶
Pursuant to the provisions of Government Code Section 27000.7, the provisions of that section shall only apply to any person duly elected or appointed as a county treasurer-tax collector after January 1, 1998.

2.21.030 - Severability.¶
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this chapter pertaining to any of the provisions of California Government Code Section 27000.7, 27000.8 or 27000.9 as existing or hereafter amended is for any reason held to be unconstitutional or invalid, such determination shall not affect the validity of any of the remaining portions of this chapter. The board of supervisors declares that it would have passed this chapter and every section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase thereof, irrespective of the fact any one or more sections, subsections, sentences, clauses or phrases be declared invalid or unconstitutional.
