After a reemployment list is established and during its life another reduction in force takes place, the Personnel Officer shall merge the reemployment lists for the appropriate classifications. The order in which names shall be certified shall be subject to the provisions of Section 2-6.06.04 of this chapter. The total time on all reemployment lists, whether original or merged, shall not exceed two (2) years, unless extended by the Personnel Officer.
