Chapter 4 — INVENTORIES

Sec. 2-4.01. - Filing.¶
On or before the 15 th of September of each year, and upon the termination of the officers referred to in this Section, either by resignation or expiration of their respective terms, each County official elective or appointive, or the person in charge of any office, department, service, or institution of the County, each township officer, each judge of a judicial district court or the clerk, secretary, or other administrative officer of each court of record, and the executive head of each special district or department whose affairs and funds are under the supervision and control of the Board, or for which the Board is ex officio the governing body, shall file with the County Auditor-Controller an inventory under oath showing in detail all County property in his possession or in his charge at the close of business on the thirtieth day of June next preceding or on the termination of his office. The inventory shall be kept of record by the County Auditor- Controller for at least five (5) years. A true and correct copy of such inventory shall be delivered by each of such officers or persons to their successors in office, who shall sign a receipt therefor, which receipt shall be filed with the County Auditor-Controller.

Sec. 2-4.02. - Failure to file inventory.¶
No officer, person, or executive head required by the provisions of this chapter to file an inventory shall be allowed to draw any salary from the County until the requirements of this chapter shall have been fulfilled or until the inventories required to be filed shall have been filed.
