2.100.420 - Limitation upon compensation.¶
A. Except as otherwise specifically provided in this chapter, all fees, commissions, or compensation of whatever nature or character, including compensation for transportation of persons, received by any county officer, deputy, assistant or employee by virtue of his office shall be delivered to the county treasurer-tax collector for deposit into the county general fund, and all of said fees, commissions or compensation shall be deemed to have become the property of the county immediately upon receipt thereof by any county officer, deputy, assistant or employee.
B. Exempt for the provisions of subsection (A) above, judges or justices of the peace may retain fees received for performing wedding ceremonies.
