2.44.010 - Consolidation of offices.¶
The offices and duties of the coroner of the county are consolidated with the office and duties of sheriff of the county.

2.44.020 - Oath of office, bond and duties.¶
The person elected to fill the united and consolidated office of sheriff-coroner shall take the oath and give the bond required for each office, and discharge all duties pertaining to each office. The amount of the bond shall be fixed from time to time by resolution of the board of supervisors.

2.44.030 - Compensation and expenses.¶
No additional compensation shall be paid to the sheriff for filling the office and performing the duties of the coroner. The sheriff-coroner shall be allowed his actual and necessary traveling expense in the discharge of his official duties which he shall claim in the manner and at the rate prescribed by the board of supervisors from time to time.

2.44.040 - Fee deposit requirements.¶
The coroner shall not be entitled to retain any of the fees allowed him by law for the performance of the duties of such office, and shall forthwith deposit the same in the county treasury.

2.44.050 - Budget submittal requirements.¶
The budgets for the office of sheriff and the office of coroner shall be submitted separately to the board of supervisors by the sheriff-coroner.

2.44.060 - Filing of inquest testimony.¶
Transcripts of testimony of witnesses examined in a coroner's inquest shall be filed with the coroner's office.
