2.20.010 - Office created—Appointment.¶
Pursuant to the authority contained in Section 27640 of the Government Code, there is created in the county the office of county counsel. The county counsel shall be appointed by the board of supervisors of the county.

2.20.020 - Term of office.¶
The county counsel shall serve for four years from the time of his appointment and until his successor is appointed and qualifies.

2.20.030 - Powers and duties.¶
The county counsel shall discharge all the duties vested by law in the district attorney other than those of public prosecutor, and shall exercise such powers and perform such duties as may now or hereafter be prescribed by law.

2.20.040 - Attendance of board of supervisors meetings.¶
The county counsel or a representative of his office shall attend all meetings of the board of supervisors.
