2.40.010 - Office created—Statutory authority.

There is created in the county the office of road commissioner, pursuant to the provisions of Division 3 of the Streets and Highways Code of the state.

2.40.020 - Appointment—Term.

The road commissioner shall be appointed by majority vote of the board of supervisors of the county, and shall serve at the pleasure of a majority of the board of supervisors.

2.40.030 - Qualifications.

The road commissioner shall have the qualifications set forth in Section 2006 of the Streets and Highways Code of the state.

2.40.040 - Bond requirements.

The road commissioner shall file with the county clerk an official bond in the sum of two thousand dollars at or prior to the time of taking the oath of office.
