Napa County Municipal Code Ch. 2.09 County Agricultural Commissioner—sealer of Weights and Measures

The office and duties of the county sealer of weights and measures are consolidated with the office and duties of the county agricultural commissioner, and the consolidated office shall be denominated "Agricultural Commissioner—Sealer."

The agricultural commissioner—sealer shall be appointed by majority vote of the board of supervisors of the county and shall serve for a term of four years from the time of appointment and, additionally, until a successor is appointed and qualifies.

The agricultural commissioner—sealer shall take the oath and give the bond required for each office and discharge all duties pertaining to each office. The amount of the bond shall be fixed from time to time by resolution of the board of supervisors.

The agricultural commissioner—sealer shall not be entitled to retain any of the fees allowed by law for the performance of the duties of each office, and shall forthwith deposit the same in the county treasury.

The agricultural commissioner—sealer shall be allowed his actual and necessary traveling expenses in the discharge of his official duties which he shall claim in the manner and at the rate prescribed by the board of supervisors from time to time.
