2.10.010 - Offices consolidated.

The office and duties of the recorder/county clerk of the county of Napa are hereby consolidated with the office and duties of the assessor of the county, and the consolidated office shall be denominated the assessor-recorder-county clerk.

2.10.020 - Title; oath; bond.

A. The assessor-recorder-county clerk shall take the oath required of each office and shall discharge all of the duties pertaining to each of the offices.

B. If the county's existing master bond is discontinued, the assessor-recorder-county clerk shall give the bond required for each of the offices consolidated.

2.10.030 - Compensation.

The assessor-recorder-county clerk shall receive the compensation provided by law for the assessor, county clerk and recorder.

2.10.040 - Fees.

The assessor-recorder-county clerk shall not be entitled to retain any of the fees allowed by law for the performance of the duties of said offices, and shall forthwith deposit the same in the county treasury.

2.10.050 - Time of election of assessor-recorder-county clerk.

A. Under the authority of Elections Code Section 1300(b)(2), the election to select the office of assessor-recorder-county clerk shall be held with the presidential primary.

B. The assessor-recorder-county clerk elected in 2022 shall serve a six-year term and the next election for that office shall occur at the 2028 presidential primary.
