Monterey County Municipal Code Art. IV Pine Meadows Estates Area

This Article is enacted for the purpose of adopting the provisions of the Vehicle Code of the State of California in the manner provided in Section 21107.7 of the California Vehicle Code for the control of vehicular traffic in the Pine Meadows Estates area. The "Pine Meadows Estates area" means that subdivision created by the Pine Meadows Estates map, recorded on June 28, 1988, in the Office of the Recorder of the County of Monterey at Volume 16, Cities and Towns, at page 58.

This Article is enacted after receipt of a petition filed with the County Clerk by Sierra Vista Properties Incorporated, owner of the roads which are set forth and more particularly described in Section 12.44.280.

These are presently owned and maintained roads described in Section 12.44.280 that are not generally held open for use of the public for purposes of vehicular travel, but by reason of their proximity to and connection with highways, the interest of residents residing along said roads and the motoring public best be served by application of the Vehicle Code of the State of California to such roads.

The following roads, all of which are located in the Pine Meadows Estate area, are affected by this Article, and the provisions of the California Vehicle Code shall apply to each road:

A. Meadow Brook Drive.

B. Pine Creek Place.

C. Pine Meadows Court.

D. Pine Meadows Drive.

E. Pine Meadow Place.

F. White Oak Court.

G. White Oak Drive.

The owner of the roads described in Section 12.44.280 shall erect appropriate signs for markings at the entrances to the areas described in Section 12.44.280 of such size, shape, and color as will be readily legible during daylight hours for a distance of one hundred (100) feet, to the effect that the road is subject to such provisions of the Vehicle Code of the State of California.
