12.44.110 - Purpose.¶
This Article is enacted for the purpose of adopting the provisions of the Vehicle Code of the State of California in the manner provided in Section 21107.7 of said Vehicle Code for the control of vehicular traffic in the Aguajito Area. The "Aguajito Area" means that area referenced by Ordinance No. 1656 of the County of Monterey, adopted on March 11, 1969, and consisting of Parcels 1, 2, and 3 as described in Exhibit A of Ordinance No. 1656.

12.44.120 - Provisions enacted after receipt of petition.¶
This Article is enacted after receipt of a petition filed with the County Clerk by Del Monte Properties Company, the owner of the roads which are set forth and more particularly described in Section 12.44.140.

12.44.130 - Application of Vehicle Code.¶
There are presently owned and maintained roads described in Section 12.44.140 that are not generally held open for use of the public for purposes of vehicular travel, but by reason of their proximity to and connection with highways, the interests of residents residing along said roads and the motoring public will best be served by application of the Vehicle Code of the State of California to such roads.

12.44.140 - Roads affected.¶
The following roads located in the Aguajito Area are affected by this Article, and the provisions of the California Vehicle Code shall apply to such roads:
A. Aguajito Road.
B. Josselyn Canyon Road.
C. Loma Alta Road.
D. Monhollan Road.
E. Viejo Road.

12.44.150 - Signs.¶
The owner of the roads described in Section 12.44.140 shall erect appropriate signs at the several entrances to the areas described in Sections 12.44.140, of such size, shape and color as will be readily legible during daylight hours from a distance of one hundred (100) feet, to the effect that the road is subject to such provisions of the Vehicle Code of the State of California.
