Boilers and their control systems shall comply with Section 1002.0. 1207.2.1 Condensing Boilers. A condensing boiler, in which the heat exchanger and venting system are designed to operate with condensing flue gases, shall be permitted to be connected directly to the panel heating system without a protective mixing device. 1207.2.2 Noncondensing Boilers. Where the heat exchanger and venting system are not designed to operate with condensed flue gases, the boiler shall be permitted to connect directly to the panel heating system where protected from flue gas condensation. The operating temperature of the boiler shall be more than the fluid temperature in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. The minimum return-water temperature to the heat source shall comply with Section 1201.5.
