Secondary loops that are isolated from the primary heat-distribution loop by a heat exchanger are closed-loop hydronic systems and shall have an expansion tank in accordance with Section 1209.0, an airremoval device in accordance with Section 1214.6, and an air-separation device in accordance with Section 1214.7.
