Hydronic systems or parts thereof shall be constructed in such a manner that polluted, contaminated water or substances shall not enter a portion of the potable water system either during normal use or where the system is subject to pressure that exceeds the operating pressure in the potable water system. Piping, components and devices in contact with the potable water shall be approved for such use and where an additive is used it shall not affect

the performance of the system.
