Chapter 2.110 — WORK FURLOUGH PROGRAM

There is hereby instituted a work furlough program to promote the employment and educational opportunities of inmates of the county jail system to the fullest extent provided by the Cobey Work Furlough Law and any amendments thereto.

The sheriff of Alameda County shall perform the functions of the work furlough administrator.

The Alameda County sheriff's department Work Furlough Center, located at 2425 East 12th Street, Oakland, California, is designated the facility for the confinement of inmates classified for the work furlough program, and the work furlough administrator is designated the custodian of this facility.

The work furlough administrator is authorized to make any and all rules and regulations he may deem necessary or appropriate to implement and carry out the provisions of this chapter.
