2.50.040 - Zoning administrator.¶
Pursuant to the provisions of Government Code Section 65900, there is within the county the office of zoning administrator.

2.50.042 - Appointment and term—Deputies—Staff.¶
A. The director of the planning, building and environmental services department is appointed to serve as zoning administrator at the pleasure of the board and without additional compensation.
B. The zoning administrator may appoint one or more deputy zoning administrators who shall have the authority and may perform the duties of the zoning administrator either in his absence or with his concurrence.
C. The planning, building and environmental services department shall provide such space and professional and clerical staff to the zoning administrator as may be required to adequately discharge the duties of his/her office, and shall include the budget of the zoning administrator within the budget of the department.

2.50.044 - Powers and duties.¶
The powers and duties of the zoning administrator shall be as set forth in Chapter 18.10 of this code (commencing with Section 18.10.010) and such other powers and duties as may be assigned by the board of supervisors.
