Chapter 7.100 — VEHICLE CODE ENFORCEMENT IN EL GRANADA MANUFACTURED HOME

7.100.010 - Findings and declarations.

The Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo finds and declares as follows:

(a)

The El Granada Manufactured Home Community is a manufactured housing community within the meaning of section 18801 of the California Health and Safety Code;

(b)

There are privately owned and maintained roads within the El Granada Manufactured Home Community that are generally not held open for use by the public for vehicular travel;

(c)

The owner of the roads located within the El Granada Manufactured Home Community has filed with the County Board of Supervisors a petition requesting that the Board take action to make the provisions of the California Vehicle Code effective with respect to the roads located within the El Granada Manufactured Home Community;

(d)

A public hearing regarding the proposal to make the provisions of the California Vehicle Code effective within the El Granada Manufactured Home Community has taken place upon due notice to the owner of the community and its residents, and the Board of Supervisors has considered all information presented in the course of this hearing.

7.100.020 - Provisions of California Vehicle Code effective within El Granada…

Community; prima facie speed limit.

(a)

The provisions of the California Vehicle Code apply to the privately owned and maintained roads located within the El Granada Manufactured Home Community; provided that, and for so long as, signs have been and remain erected at all entrances to the community of a size, shape and color as to be readily legible during daylight hours from a distance of 100 feet, to the effect that the roads within the community are subject to the provisions of the California Vehicle Code.

(b)

So long as the provisions of the California Vehicle Code apply to the El Granada Manufactured Home Community, the prima facie speed limit for all roads within the El Granada Manufactured Home Community is 15 miles per hour.
